“Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”
— Anton Chekhov
Working individually, in pairs, and in small groups, you will start the process that is creative writing and do what all writer’s set out to do: to tell a story. It’s really that simple and that complex. As well as being an integral part of your coursework, this club offers you the experience of immersing yourself in the creative process. You won’t write essays: you will create something new and original that is yours. You will discover and develop new skills including communication and persuasion skills. You will write a story that gives the reader a new understanding or insight into the world. That’s what writers do. To quote Stephen King, “The scariest moment is always just before you start. After that, things can only get better.”
Aims and Objectives of Club: Our goal in this club is
- to strengthen communication and interpersonal skills
- further language development
- develop a creative approach to writing.
